Thank you for your interest in Camp Kaleidoscope. We are not currently accepting applications for Camp Kaleidoscope. Our application for Camp 2025 will open in late 2024.

While we cannot make guarantees at this point about spaces at camp, we will work our hardest to serve as many campers as possible. We will contact you as soon as possible with information about open spaces at camp.

Camp Kaleidoscope is open to any child age 6-18 regardless of race, religion, or socio-economic status in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.  Campers are eligible if one of their parents is currently battling cancer, is in remission from cancer, or has passed away from cancer. Due to the financial burden experienced by families coping with cancer, Camp Kaleidoscope will be provided free of charge to the families it serves.

Life as a Camp Kaleidoscope Camper

Every day at Camp Kaleidoscope gives campers an opportunity to try something new while having fun. A typical day at camp will look like:

  • Wake up

  • Breakfast

  • Morning activity rotations (arts and crafts, sports, science, etc.)

  • Rest time

  • Lunch

  • Swimming

  • Afternoon activity rotations

  • Dinner

  • Camp Fire

  • Cabin Chat

  • Lights out

  • Roots: During one evening at camp, time will be set aside for the entire camp to get together to acknowledge why they are there. This will be a time for campers to talk to each other and share their stories – their fears, their accomplishments, their hopes and dreams. Anyone can talk if they choose to, but not everybody has to. We do ask that every camper comes to camp with some knowledge of their parent's experience, however we do not require campers to share.
